The Kyiv Independent

Zakhar Protsiuk, Chief Operating Officer for the Kyiv Independent, an English-language free speech Ukrainian media group, tells the story and philosophy of thier worker-owned newsroom which has become a trusted international source of information about Ukraine. They are asking for more readers/members in the US. He also speaks about their contribution to democracy and the role of independent journalism and the contribution he sees his country making to global democracy.
